Privacy Policy

1. Overview

DaxTech LLC ("DaxTech," "we," "us," or "our") is a Nevada limited liability company. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use:

  • Our website at daxtechllc.com (the "Site"), and
  • The StreetTongue mobile application (the "App").

Together, the Site and the App are referred to as the "Services." By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Data

When you create a StreetTongue account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Display name or username
  • Password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — never in plain text)
  • Sign in with Apple token, if you choose Apple authentication

Voice and Audio Data

StreetTongue includes speaking and pronunciation exercises. When you use these features:

  • Your device's microphone records a short audio clip of your speech.
  • The clip is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our servers and processed by our third-party AI speech-recognition provider to generate a pronunciation score and feedback.
  • Audio is deleted from our servers within 24 hours of processing and is not used to train AI models without your separate, explicit consent.

You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device's Settings app. Revoking access disables pronunciation features but does not affect the rest of the App.

Learning Activity Data

We record your in-app activity to personalize your experience and sync it across your devices:

  • Lessons completed, scores, and quiz results
  • Vocabulary progress and streaks
  • Feature usage patterns within the App

Device and Technical Data

  • Device type, model, and operating system version
  • App version
  • IP address (used for server-side routing and legal compliance; not stored long-term)
  • App session timestamps

Crash and Diagnostic Data

We collect minimal diagnostic information to detect, investigate, and fix errors:

  • Server-side error and request logs via our infrastructure providers Supabase and Cloudflare (see Section 4)
  • Aggregate device and app-version metadata used to identify trends in bugs
  • Crash reports you voluntarily share with Apple on your device, which Apple may relay to us through App Store Connect

We do not operate a dedicated third-party analytics or behavioral-tracking SDK inside the App. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Purchase Data

When you purchase StreetTongue through the Apple App Store, Apple processes the transaction. We receive only Apple-issued transaction identifiers to verify your purchase. We never receive or store your payment card number or other billing details.

Website Data

The daxtechllc.com website is a static marketing page. We do not operate user accounts, contact forms, or analytics scripts on the Site. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may log standard server access data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) per their own privacy policy .

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the StreetTongue App and its features
  • Process and score your pronunciation using AI speech recognition
  • Sync your learning progress across your devices
  • Detect, investigate, and fix crashes and bugs
  • Respond to support requests and communications
  • Enforce our Terms of Service
  • Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with a limited set of vetted service providers, each bound by their own terms and applicable data-processing agreements.

Infrastructure

  • Supabase, Inc. — hosts our application database and handles user authentication. Stores your account data and learning progress.
  • Upstash, Inc. — provides caching and rate-limiting infrastructure; may briefly hold session identifiers.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — content delivery, DNS, and edge security. Processes HTTP request metadata including IP addresses for routing and abuse prevention.

Authentication

  • Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple, if you choose it.
  • Google LLC — Sign in with Google, if you choose it.

Speech and AI

  • Microsoft Corporation (Azure Speech Services) — processes voice recordings to generate pronunciation scores and feedback.
  • OpenAI, L.L.C. — processes text content for language-learning AI features such as translation and explanation.

Payments

  • Apple Inc. — processes all in-app purchases made through the Apple App Store. Apple receives transaction details directly; we receive only Apple-issued transaction identifiers.
  • RevenueCat, Inc. — manages subscription state and validates App Store receipts on our behalf.
  • Stripe, Inc. — processes any payments made through our website (not applicable to in-app purchases).

Communications

  • Resend, Inc. — delivers transactional emails (account verification, password resets, purchase receipts).
  • Cloudflare Email Routing — forwards inbound email sent to addresses on our domain.

Legal and corporate

  • Law enforcement / legal process. We may disclose information when required by a valid court order, subpoena, or other lawful government request, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of DaxTech, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or in-app notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

  • Audio data: Deleted from our servers within 24 hours of processing.
  • Account and learning data: Retained until you delete your account.
  • Crash and diagnostic data: Server-side logs retained for up to 90 days, then rotated.
  • Purchase records: Retained as required by applicable accounting and tax regulations.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access your data. View your account details and learning history in the App's account settings.
  • Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the App (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Deletion is processed within 30 days.
  • Microphone access. Revoke or grant microphone permission at any time in your device's Settings app.
  • Data portability. To request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, email us at contact@daxtechllc.com.
  • California residents (CCPA). We do not sell personal information. California residents may submit rights requests to the contact address below.

7. Children's Privacy

StreetTongue is rated 17+ on the Apple App Store because its curriculum includes slang, idioms, and informal language that may contain mature or explicit content. The App is intended for users who are at least 17 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. 8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including:

  • TLS encryption for all data transmitted between the App and our servers
  • Cryptographic hashing (bcrypt or Argon2) for stored passwords
  • Encrypted transmission for audio data sent to Azure Speech Services

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your information using reasonable and appropriate measures.

9. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to external websites or services (for example, streettongueapp.com). DaxTech is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourages you to review their privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notice or email before the changes take effect and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
